Additional Charges vs Other Charges

Additional Charges

Additional charges, aka Setup Charges, are charges directly related to the imprint such as ‘screens and setup‘ or ‘digitizing‘.

They can be viewed and edited on the ‘Price Lists‘ page. (Main Menu -> Pricing and Product Settings -> Price Lists.)

Depending on the type of additional charge you would charge for:

  • Every imprint location. e.g. You will charge digitizing for the front imprint and then charge digitizing again for the back imprint since they are two separate designs.
  • Link to imprint quantity. e.g. A ‘Flash Charge’ would be applied to all products that are getting an imprint.
  • Link to number of colors. e.g. ‘Screens and setup’ additional charges could be charged per color used in the imprint.
You can select if you want to add certain additional charges by default when adding the imprint. Otherwise they can be selected to be available to add when using the imprint on an order.

Additional charges are always linked to an imprint line. Since we don’t want to confuse customers with all the costs and setup that goes on behind the scenes, the charge can be set to automatically build into the item price as part of the total imprint costs.

If the charge is not ‘Built into’ the item price then it will appear as a separate line, under the imprint line, on the invoice.

Other Charges

Other charges are not linked to an imprint and should be used for charges such as ‘Shipping’ or ‘Hang Tagging’. e.g. it doesn’t matter if a garment will get all or just some of the imprints, however ALL garments will have a hang tag.

They can be viewed and edited on the ‘Other Charges‘ page. (Main Menu -> Pricing and Product Settings -> Other Charges.)

You can sync the quantity of other charges to the number of garments, (Not the imprint count since it is not linked to an imprint), or enter your own quantity. You can also select if you want to build the the charge into the garment/product price or show it separately.
