Changes to the Company Setup regarding Purchasing/Inventory Module
February 2021 Teesom launched a new Purchasing/Inventory module. With this new module came more complexity to the program, therefore the need for additional options to be setup in the Company Setup.
Here are the additional changes you will need to consider with the new module launch
Defaults
Under “Defaults” on the “Setup” tab you can now choose to blind ship to customers as well as choose to hide items not being printed
Purchase Order
The Create PO – Mark as Sent option, when turned on, will default to marking the PO as sent in the PO Wizard. This is not recommended if you plan to use the integration to place the order.
For the Create GRV (Goods Received Voucher) autofill Qty (Quantity) Options, the two choices you have are to Fill to Max Receivable or to Zero Out the Quantity. This is simply a preference. When receiving goods do you want to, by default, receive all the goods in automatically or have the quantity zeroed out and you manually populate the quantities.
Below, for the option “Create GRV, sort Qty by”, you will pick how you would like the items on your GRV to sort:
- Invoice Due Date, will sort by the items closest due date
- Quantity Received, ascending, will sort by items that have the largest quantity
- Quantity Received, descending, will sort by items that have the smallest quantity
In the PO Wizard, when adding a Note to the Supplier, turn the option On for it to now appear on the Purchase Order itself.
Settings
Before you can set a default warehouse, make sure that you have all the warehouses necessary set up. Teesom gives you a default warehouse called MyWarehouse.
You do not necessarily need a warehouse specifically for holding inventory but you will need a warehouse when swapping stock codes. The stock item has to be “somewhere” in order to swap it, and that somewhere is your MyWarehouse.
To create a new warehouse on the “Inventory Tab” under “Warehouse List” click on “New WareHouse“
now that you have a warehouse created, you can select from the drop down your default warehouse.
