Working With Customers

The Customer List

To open the customer list click on ‘Customers’ from the “Main menu”:

Customer Edit Screen

To view or edit a customer’s details, select ‘Edit’ from the “3 dot” menu:

On the ‘Editing Customer’ screen you will be able to view and change any of the basic info you have for them. You can also click on ‘Advanced’ for several more options:

  • Address List: Create and manage addresses associated with this customer. You can also change the default ‘Mail to’ address and the default ‘Ship to’ address.
  • Contact Persons: Create and manage contact persons for this customer as well as set a ‘Main Contact’ and Financial Contact’ person. (Click here to learn more about Setting a Main Customer Contact)
  • Money: Here you can set the customers default tier type, terms, tax and enter a customer VAT / Resell number.
  • Categorize: Set the type of marketing this customer does, their industry, and most importantly for this section you can set their default ‘Customer Group’ which determines the markup used.
  • Customer Portal Log: View a log of customer activity.

Customer Account Screen

To view the customer’s account screen, select ‘View Account’ from the “3 dot” menu:

On the ‘Customer Account‘ screen:

  1. View the customer contact info.
  2. The Default Sales Rep, Terms and Sales Tax for the customer.
  3. Their (Green) Open balance, (Blue) Work In Progress balance and (Red) Past due balance.
  4. Create new orders and art for the customer by clicking on “New” and edit the customer by clicking on “Edit

Deleting Customers

You can only delete a customer if there are no transactions on their account.

To delete the customer:

  1. Click on the “Action” dropdown.
  2. Select “Delete“.

Since customers with any order history cannot be deleted it may be easiest to simply “Deactivate” the customer. 

To do that:

  1. Click on the “3 Dot” dropdown.
  2. Select “Edit“.
  3. Click on “Active” and select “Deactivate“.
  4. Click “Save“.
